Exclusive Audio Interview With Actor Lance Henriksen

Exclusive Audio Interview With Actor Lance Henriksen

I got a chance to interview one of my favorite actors of all time this past Saturday, Lance Henriksen. I have to admit that I was really nervous to speak with him because he is in so many of my favorite films like ALIENS, TERMINATOR, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, PUMPKINHEAD or the film we were discussing IT'S IN THE BLOOD. I was expecting Mr. Henriksen to give me about ten to fifteen minutes of his time; instead he spent almost an hour answering my questions. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and extremely down to earth.

We not only spoke about IT'S IN THE BLOOD, but he also gave us his thoughts on PROMETHEUS, spoke about ALIENS, told us about a role he passed up in a major film, keys to being successful in the film business, a possible MILLENNIUM film, a secret Dark Horse comics project and so much more.

I want to thank Lance Henriksen again for taking time out of his busy schedule, and when I say busy he is really busy, to speak with us. Also, thanks to Scooter Downey and Sean Elliot for getting the two of us together. IT'S IN THE BLOOD really is a good film and you can tell how much Mr. Henriksen was proud to be in the film. You can read my review for IT'S IN THE BLOOD, but for now listen to my interview with Lance Henriksen below.

Hello Anthony: Loved your interview. I know 'it's In The Blood" was shown at the United Film Festival in Brooklyn. However a few months ago I contacted Scooter to submit to the NYCHFF. I also contacted Ronnie Hein (Her son, Michael J. Hein was the founder of the festival and passed away in 2011 to ask her if she had considered having Mr. Henriksen as a guest at the festival.) I hoped they would consider Mr. Henriksen for a Lifetime Achievement Award and also accept "It's In The Blood" as an entry as well as "The Last Push", which is a SciFi movie and Mr. H. is in it too. I contacted Eric Hayden (he is the director as well.) So if you have any way to use some magic to approach the NYCHFF it would be fantastic. I am a fan of Mr. Henriksen & his work. Thank you. Alice

Today, I watched Gunfighters Moon for the 125th time. It starred Lance Henrikson and even though I'm now 83 years young, Gunfighters Moon was the greatest western of all time. Every time I placed that DVD in my computer, my wife usually exclaims, "Not AGAIN!!! I don't know how to get this post to Mr. Henrikson, but if I could I would tell him just how much I loved his performance in that film. A long time western fan, Larry Becker. Scottsdale, AZ
